about

*note- genre tags other than bridgestyle being used are influences or similar themed genres rather than what i am directly playing since this is a new genre technically

PART 3- i decide to have one last hurrah hard rock and heavy metal music before i officially give up due to the combination of not liking the mainstream or hardcore sides of it ergo not fitting in, plus i don't have the technical skills needed to play the crazy stuff i like or the people skills to form a band

ever hear a genre snob yelling about "that's not metal this is metal" ?
well this is NOT metal
its bridge music mixed with heavy metal music
i'm trying to filter out the heavy metal from my music and start a new genre called bridge

basically i have a liberal definition of heavy metal and this is a specific to one person subgenre that you can disassociate from if you please

so how is bridge mixed with metal different than regular metal by itself?
its hard to say for sure since this is first wave bridge music(assuming it catches on)
here is the trick:

first make a play list of your personal top 4 metal songs any sub-genre any decade
then add this extended play, then add 2 commercially successful songs called metal from every decade that heavy metal existed in one form or another 60s-now
now add a couple 60s psychedelic rock songs some hardcore punk songs and a couple psychobilly songs and some stoner rock songs, plus 2 songs from the band venom and 2 songs by poison and the puscifer remake of accept balls to the wall, and 2 linkin park songs
and 3 songs from deep purple's storm bringer album
and 2 songs by witch finder general and all the songs maximum the hormone played for the deathnote theme songs and
and 2 hawkwind songs 3 white zombie songs, 3 songs by the cramps
and 1 post-metal song, and 1 stoner metal song

now try to pretend these are all "hard rock" songs

now you either confused or angry

am i trolling you?

i am trying to escape from heavy metal
i feel like i was pushed out of this genre by genre snobs that want everyone to have the same opinions as them,
heavy metal purists and alternative rock purists are the most annoying music purists
jazz purists don't bother me as much because they play actual naturally occurring sounds from real instruments
and after a while jazz just sounds like endless noodling which gets boring fast so i dont care about that opinion it holds no credence for me, but heavy metal purists are annoying enough to want to leave the genre so this is my last hurrah of hard rock music

its kind of campy and dark and stoner goth leaning

this extended play is mostly to lure people who play metal but feel like outsiders into bridge music and to play dark campy b movie villain music with me and be the trolls under the bridge of the bridge music continuum which doesn't exist yet,

this is part 3 of a 4 part series of segregating my music into acoustic electro rock leaning stuff for 1, new wave keyboard stuff in part 2
and industrial hip hop influenced stuff in part 4

i usually make pseudo concept albums where i alternate freely between my madness music but this is a SAMPLER OF 1 SIDE OF MY MUSIC

my hard rock heavy metal side is mostly a blend of stoner rock, psychobilly, doom metal and a hint of thrash metal. and random other stuff
its kind of just a new subgenre of dark metal as opposed to my true goal of creating a true new music genre. but this is a good anecdote to show that i'm losing touch with heavy metal and going in a new direction

my main objectives are to oppose
1 down tempo bassy chill out hip hop
2 post-grunge power ballads with played out wall of distortion
3 music rivalries and nitpicking
4 backwards thinking retro music with no room to grow

this IS in fact a subgenre of PROTO-BRIDGE-STYLE MUSIC
part one of my ep series is bridge rock
its kind of psychadelic retro-futurist adult alternative acoustic edm acoustic metalcore pop with visual kei and post punk influences
part two of my ep series is bridge wave
its A COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME mixed with synthpop\electropop
part three is this one
which is the DISTORTED GUITAR ROCK stuff
part four of my extended play series of "protobridgestyle" music
is a new genre of music that is a mixture of hip-hop, electroclash, psychedelia, industrial music, trip hop, and low fi nonsense and its very bugged

so really part 3 should be called BUGGED METAL
and part 4 should be called BUGGED RAP
but i'm trying to invent bridgestyle as a real living music genre with artists OTHER THAN JUST ME playing it

in other words
PLEASE PLAGIARIZE MY MUSIC, AND WHEN YOU DO TAG IT WITH BRIDGESTYLE

so far it has 4 subgenres
but im going to ABANDON this one as i'm bored with guitar distortion thanks mostly to post-grunge, which has caused me to leave behind modern rock in favor of various older outdated styles of music mostly from the 1980s but occasionally as far back as medieval music (as long as its instrumental and not choral)
as such i will very rarely use distortion in my own music and when i do it wont be as compressed as modern listeners of rock and metal and wood and ether or what ever are used to
