about

harry potter lovecraft co-wrote soul osmosis with Derek. while he meant it to be about his hopes for Vanessa to get over her emotional problems harry Lovecraft wrote about his own intervention in which he thought he friends and family came off as sugary, obnoxious, prudish, and whiney resulting in no change in his behavior to occur,

according to Derek after he joined a cult they taught him the concept of soul osmosis, apparently according to him his fiancé' had her soul devoured literally by a demon and she slowly developed a new soul from making new friends with people and absorbing new life into herself as a byproduct of his quest to find said demon, during which time this supposed demon killed all of those friends during a climactic battle through a city and left unscathed leaving both survivors emotionally scarred but they both recovered

its trying to be a mindscrew but instead its just a mindscrew
stylistically its kind of like a mixture of ska and unneccassary electronics
and its trying to be a spoof of sugary j pop as sung by the American English dub actress with the lyrics translate directly being a mixture of cringe inducing sweetness and mood whiplash inducing dark content
